Do you know what it takes to become a highly beloved and trusted board-certified pediatric dentist in Tucson?
If you want to know more about all of the steps it takes and the lengths you have to go to, simply take some time to speak with Dr. Angela Wolfman.
Alongside her husband Dr. Kedar Lele, the pair have over 35 years of combined experience helping little ones grow up with a healthy smile and a true appreciation for oral health.
Dr. Wolfman has specialized training in caring for infants, children, and teenagers — they’re in good hands at Great Grins.
Dr . Wolfman is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and the Indiana University School of Dentistry where she completed her studies in 2000.
She went on to complete two years of her General Practice Residency at Loyola University Medical Center and another two years of pediatric dentistry residency training from 2002 to 2004 at the Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. Dr. Wolfman was selected as chief resident in both her general practice residency and her pediatric dental residency.
Both Dr. Wolfman and Dr. Lele are required to dedicate significant time to continuing education to maintain their Diplomate status for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Wolfman is certified in laser dentistry using the Biolase Waterlase and the administration of oral conscious sedation in Arizona. For years, the office has been selected by peers in Tucson Lifestyle magazine as one of the area’s best pediatric dentists.
Great Grins was also voted reader’s choice for 2020 Best Pediatric Dentist.
Dr. Wolfman and her husband Dr. Lele are the proud owners of three dogs who are all mascots of the Great Grins office. As a practice, the doctors and team have donated to several schools in the region under the Institute for Better Education.
Dr. Wolfman and the Great Grins team have also donated free dental care to patients who did not qualify for insurance and could not afford dental care. Generally, these cases involved putting a child under anesthesia and restoring the whole mouth. The office also sponsors local sports teams, Girl Scouts, and other community organizations. Dr. Wolfman and Spirit Girl even do oral health presentations at nearby schools and preschools.
She is a member of the the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, Arizona Academy of Pediatric Dentists, American Dental Association, Arizona Dental Association, Southern Arizona Dental Association, and the Tucson Community of Pediatric Specialists.
Aside from loving kids and their smiles, Dr. Wolfman also enjoys reading, traveling, being outdoors, and loves designing spaces. She also has her black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
